Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

Visiting the show is free! If you'd like to enter your rat or mouse in one of the classes, each entry costs $3 for members or $6 for non-members. 

How do I become a member?

To become a member please visit our Membership Page and follow the instructions there.

Where are QRF shows held?

Shows are held at The Brisbane Finnish Hall in Mt Gravatt (62 Newnham Rd, Mount Gravatt East QLD 4122; Google Maps)

What class should I enter my rat/mouse in?

We recommend entering your animal in a pet class for your first show to ease you into the process. If you would like to enter Varieties, please see our Standards.

What if I'm not sure what variety my rat/mouse is?

If you're not sure what colour or coat type your animal is, please feel free to join the QRF Facebook Group and make a post (including photos) asking our experienced members what variety your animal is.

What time should I be at the show venue?

If you are an exhibitor (you have entered an animal in a class) you should aim to be at the show venue by 9am to help to with setup, get yourself a nice spot to sit, and pay your entry fees, etc. If you are just visiting, you can come at any time between 10am and 3pm.
 

How long do QRF shows usually run?

Judging starts at 10am and we are usually finished the prize presentation by 3:30pm.

How do I enter a show?

You can enter the next show by filling out the appropriate entry form for your animal/s. The entry forms can be found here.
